1988 was a year when machine Vision and AI capability was in its infancy any where in the world. A group of 11 engineering UG students and their Professor worked under the Guidance of D.Ramakrishna Naidu to achieve this magnificent capability in an ultra low cost Robot, winning the IEEE-Vincent Bendix award. NASA’s Aerospace publication carried a report on this. This in fact was the first Robot built at Artec.
